Upon graduating from University of Washington in 1982 with a B.Sc.degree in
orthotics and prosthetics, Mark performed his residency at Riley's Children' s'
Hospital in Indianapolis. Upon completion of his residency, he entered into
practice at a Chicago area firm, becoming Supervising Orthotist. In 1985, he
started MD Orthotic and Prosthetic Labs. Mark has treated thousands of pediatric
patients over the last 20 years for a vast array of common and rare pathologies.
Mark also served in the US Navy from 1972-1976 as an Operating Room Technician.
Mark has lectured at local, national, and international conferences on pediatric
orthotic care. Mark is currently practicing and maintaining Licensure with the
State of Illinois and Certification with the American Board for Certification in
Orthotics and Prosthetics. He is a past president of the Illinois Society of
Orthotists and Prosthetists, and recently saw passage and enactment of the
Illinois Licensure Act in Orthotics and Prosthetics, of which he was intimately
involved with.

John has been with MD Orthotic-Prosthetic Labs since 1987. He established our
first South Region Office in that year and is the South Region Manager.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970 and was Honorably Discharged
with the rank of Sergeant. He attended Northwestern University’s School of
Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1977, and achieved Certification in Orthotics in 1978.
He is one of the first Licensed Orthotists in the State of Illinois.
John is Past-President of the Illinois Society of Orthotists, Prosthetists and
Pedorthists, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.

Rachel is a Certified Prosthetist with the American Board for Certification
in Orthotics and Prosthetics. She completed her residency in Iowa in
conjunction with the University of Iowa Hospital and clinics. After
completing her residency in Iowa, she joined MD Orthotic & Prosthetic Labs,
and will be providing services in our North Region offices of Chicago,
Arlington Heights, and Naperville. In 2001, she received her Bachelor of
Science in Biology from the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. Rachel
completed both the Prosthetic technician and the Prosthetic Practitioner
Programs at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. Rachel is certified
in the C-leg, Harmony System and the MAS socket.

Another significant feature at MD LAB is that all custom devices are fabricated at
our facility. By doing this, the practitioners can work closely with the technical
staff to ensure the best device is made. It also gives us the ability to provide
the fastest turnaround time in the profession...an important distinction when a
patient needs to start their rehabilitation, or is awaiting discharge.
