Our complete CAD CAM operations system allows MD LABS to provide custom devices and patient care faster and more efficiently.  We use this for both our own patients as well as to provide CENTRAL FABRICATION SERVICES for other facilities.  With the use of this technology, we are able to scan patients themselves, scan casts of patients, or completely fabricate devices from precise measurements and sophisticated software.

PROSTHETIC CAD CAM

From scanned residual limbs to scanning casts made of the patient, to utilizing software and precise measurements, MD LABS can produce prosthetic sockets and components in a matter of minutes.  This allows us to provide prosthesis in some cases the very same day the patient is measured.  Because we utilize this technology, all patient metrics are stored and available to modify or produce a new device quickly. No one can provide better or more expedient care than MD LABS.

ORTHOTIC CAD CAM

Using the same sophisticated software programs, Mark Devens, CPO, and MD LABS have developed techniques to produce scoliosis devices utilizing CAD CAM. We call this the Digital Risser System.  By using either a cast, scanning the patient themselves, or using precise measurements, the scoliosis TLSO (brace) is produced. Because we have all the metrics stored, we are able to modify an existing TLSO model or produce a new model due to growth.  Adult postoperative spinal patients can be seen and measured without the sometimes painful casting technique.  We can produce a custom TLSO (brace) the same day we see the patient in the hospital.  Many lower extremity devices are also produced utilizing CAD CAM.

CENTRAL FABRICATION

All the techniques and devices we produce for our own patients can be produced for other facilities.  Many are finding the ease and expertise of MD LABS CAD CAM CENTRAL FAB cost-effective and more  expedient than doing it themselves.

We offer a full line of prosthetic services from scanning your positive or negative cast, modifying and carving a model, pulling sockets or laminating and setting up all components.

Our orthotic CAD CAM Central Fab offers custom adult TLSO’s, as well as custom scoliosis TLSO’s of various designs.  MD LABS can e-mail you the generated models for your approval or alteration prior to carving and finishing.  In this way we ensure the best chances for an optimal fit.
